The very Soof Embroidery Kutch name Soof or Suf means “neat and clean” reflecting the stitcher’s precision. Unlike drawn-on designs, Soof is worked freehand on the fabric’s reverse – artisans count the warp and weft threads and stitch directly, without any outline. The results are exquisite triangular and chevron (leher) motifs that appear perfectly symmetrical on the front.

This method requires precision, patience, and years of expertise, as each motif is carefully crafted by lifting and interlacing threads by hand.
